About Your Yoga Instructor:

Allison Derrico is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, licensed Ayurvedic Health Counselor and meditation teacher.  She was also born and raised in Melrose, MA!

In her yoga classes, Allison aims to lead students through a sequence that creates a sense of balance. Life can be hectic and complicated, your yoga practice can be the opposite. By connecting physically to postures that encourage stability, strength and fluidity she hopes to create an experience that leaves people feeling more free and at ease in their body, mind, and heart.

About MAAV:

The mission of the Melrose Alliance Against Violence is to raise community awareness of domestic and teen dating violence, and to promote programs that work to reduce violence and encourage healthy relationships.

Our programs include community awareness activities, education and prevention programs in the schools, including bullying prevention, mentoring and peer leadership programs; and information, support, resource and referral services for victims, family members and the community at large.
