Last week the girls actually got to go do something FUN for visitation! Here they are, playing at a splash pad. They didn't have to spend the entire 2 hours in a grocery store!

More Info

Elmo's [now ex]-girlfriend got pregnant on purpose without his agreement. He has paid an agreed upon amount of child support weekly. He has been permitted (by her) to see his daughter for a couple of hours per week, supervised by "Baby Mama." For the past couple of years, visitation has taken place at a supermarket, often including grocery shopping for baby mama's household. It is scheduled for Thursdays, but really seems to follow her whims beyond that.

Elmo is a good father and has never done anything to warrant this paranoid behavior of his Baby Mama. He is not permitted to know his daughter's home address nor the location of her school or dance school. By state law, he should have the right to this information as well as a regular visitation schedule.

He has two other, younger children. They barely know their sister. The girls are less than 1½ years apart in age.

Last year Baby Mama sued for court ordered child support (she was assisted by the state). Elmo arranged to have the funds automatically withdrawn from his weekly paycheck and also carries medical insurance coverage for all three of his children. All talks of more visitation have been shot down by Baby Mama.

Elmo had planned to use his 2012 tax refund to hire an attorney to sue for visitation rights in 2013. However, the state took $5,000 from him toward back child support (because they decided he owed MORE - and he was aready making payments toward that, too). He no longer has funds available for an attorney because those funds went to Baby Mama.

We had already researched and found a very nice local attorney with low fees. For $1500, we can retain her for services and pay court costs as well. Your donation means we don't have to wait another full year (when she'll be nearly 6 years old) before starting the process.

Please help us reach our goal. The deadline for this campaign is Father's Day. Does it get any more appropriate than that? Help give Elmo an awesome Father's Day!
