THE WHOLE STORY:

We are Taylor and Jordan, brother and sister, and we are currently building a school at the orphanage Tumaini in Kenya!! The project consists of a brand new, two-story school building. This orphanage, the Tumaini Miles of Smiles Centre is the home to over 200 young boys and girls in Kenya, East Africa. It is a beautiful piece of land that consists of an orphanage, guest home, soccer field, and an out-of-date mud hut school.

The Kenyan government has requested Tumaini build a new school to hold its students to new educational and structural regulations and standards or else it will be shut down.

So...to recap...we are average siblings responsible for building a school on the other side of earth. Crazy right? We know. But this all happened for a reason. Here's how:

After visiting Tumaini in 2017 to deliver soccer cleats, we sort of fell in love. Tumaini kids are kind, intelligent, and infectious with love. Beyond that, the founder of Tumaini is the most amazing woman we've ever met. When Rose told us about the school they needed to build, we knew we were sent there to help.

So we came home and spent 6 months building our company Crossbar. We're a high end soccer goal supplier and we use 100% of the profits to fund school builds in underprivileged communities, like Tumaini. Because we founded Crossbar so recently, we are funding our first build - Tumaini - with a combination of our goal sales to date, and donations from the public. Que the birth of this page!!

We are so thankful for the progress we've all made together thus far and cannot wait to see the doors of their new school open.
