The Ryokan & Resort Crowdfunding

THE RYOKAN & RESORT will be a sustainable & environmentally responsible, tech-driven boutique ryokan and resort that will be located in Japan. Its appeal is to those who are looking for a full-service, luxury resort location that blends Japanese tradition and culture with international aesthetics; while still being at a location that isn't belligerent about its footprint. Thus bridging the gap for those who want to get more into a "real" experience of a country without being deterred by a cultural hurdle.

We need to raise funding to get immediate traction and lock in our location. From there we plan to renovate to optimize space and function.

The Story

We started on a journey of wanting to make experiences for people who love to travel and want to do more than just dip their toes into culture.

This is the way we're going about doing it and will be the first in many locations.

But...we need your help with our first. We admit this has been a long road and not one that we can do on our own. So, hopefully, you can help us get off to more than just 'a good start' and make some serious progress.

Don't worry! We will be rewarding contributors with some pretty fabulous limited-production gifts that will only be available for those who invest in us and our project.

What is the Timeline?

We want to move quickly but efficiently; not recklessly. To do this, we've used our time to focus on this crowdfunding solely on gaining the location. This means we've already established a team of people and contractors to manage and register the location.

We're looking to get the initial 'flag-down' within 45 days (honestly, the sooner the better). Then continuing the crowdfunding to finish off gaining the rest of the needed funding.

With it being a historical location, we want to preserve and celebrate its history, while also renovating to make it more sustainable and less prone to the elements.

As an existing location, it will allow us to focus on renovating and customizing to fit the immediate needs for operation, far more quickly than doing a complete from-the-ground-up build.

This will also make it possible for scaling properly to renovate with major amenities and floor layouts that will make The RYOKAN & RESORT an exceptional location for local and international guests.

In addition, this also gives the means of converting the existing location and amenities to become sustainable and highly energy efficient. This is one of the key aspects of the location, as we want to make sure that a majority of our operations are using technology and sustainability options wisely to be sufficient with the least impact on the surrounding environment/ecosystem.

Scaling up with amenities, features, and a variety of rooms, that will be smart-luxury and boutique enough to be bespoke to the needs of every guest for long or short-term stays.
