The Kelli Fund (Tomorrows Children's Fund)

From Laurena Efrusy

My name is Kelli and I am 11 years old and cancer-free. I would like to give back to my community at Tomorrows Children's Fund. They helped me through a very hard time when I was 3 years old and had Wilm's Tumor Stage...

TCF helped make my visits to Hackensack Hospital easier, by giving me gifts and support during my treatments and surgeries.  Every time I went to the hospital, I would be greeted with tons of fun things to do that made my tests and treatments more bearable.  That December TCF gave me gifts for my birthday and gifts for the Holidays.  My family received gifts as well, it made me happy that we were able to focus on something happy rather than my cancer. I remember during my visits I would sometimes get a cool blanket or pillowcase. I also remember making a necklace with my social worker. She and I selected beads that represented something like my first chemo, my first surgery etc. I want to reach out to the people that helped me when I was sick and make a difference in other children's lives. I know we can do it! This is what I am doing for my Mitzvah Project. I will take the money that you donate and buy gifts to bring to Hackensack Hospital. I will also give them my support and let them meet a survivor.  This is the Kelli Fund. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
