I am a local Cumming girl. I am a Mom of 2 amazing kiddos, Wife to the love of my life, Sister, Daughter, Friend, Lover of Jesus and obcessed with Mickey Mouse. I am SUPER excited to be a part of the ALL WOMEN build. I enjoy doing things outside my comfort zone - learning to use a power tool is gonna rock! I love that this home will be built for someone right here in Forsyth County. I'm excited about volunteering with others who are passionate about their community and making new friendships. Being given the opportunity to give someone not just a house, but a HOME! That is just GOOD STUFF!!
Habitat for Humanity North Central Georgia (NCG) Women Build 2020 empowers and inspires women to build homes for low income families in their communities!
Construction for the inaugural Habitat for Humanity-NCG Women Build home will begin in early 2020 in Forsyth or Cherokee County. During this 12-week build, over 300 women will come together to build a home for a deserving family in need of affordable, safe, and stable housing. The all-female volunteer crew will frame the walls, hang drywall, install siding, paint the interior and exterior, and landscape the yard among other tasks. Fundraising is underway now, and Women Build members have committed to raise $90,000 to help cover the cost of construction materials for this project.
