I support Habitat because I believe that everyone deserves a place to call home. The work of the organization to not only provide affordable housing but to ensure that the recipient is part of the process through service hours to earn their home - providing a hand up vs. a hand out - is a very important key as well.
Habitat has teamed up with group of “Celebrity Sous Chefs” who will work with local culinary experts and show off their own talents. Our "Celebrity Sous Chefs" are both eager and enthusiastic movers and shakers of the community who share Habitat’s values, and have a competitive spirit. Sous Chefs will be taught a skill by a local professional chef and will participate in a competition to test who has mastered their new technique the best.
In addition to our friendly kitchen competition, all Sous Chefs are asked to raise money in support of the event, and Habitat’s mission to eliminate substandard housing. Each winner of this two-part challenge will be named on the night of the gala.
