I never knew depression had many different levels or impact until I personally experienced this mental health disability in my life. Your close family members compare your depression to their own experiences or understanding, friends may either seem distant or unaware, and you realize depression is not just feeling sad but rather can be extremely difficult. It impacts your sleep, physically you have no energy or physical care for yourself unfortunately. It's as if you can mentally comprehend what you need to do but unable to get up as you're overwhelmed and stressed about everything. The description of depression itself is what others see or know but cannot understand unless they went through a severe impact themselves. Unfortunately because of this you are criticized and treated as less than or etc. Mental health is much more than most of us know and I didn't know myself until it impacted me. I've been learning, researching and reflecting to gain strength and overcome this crippling disability. I can say I've always felt like a strong independent person and able to be resilient pushing through tough times. Believe me I'm not just a person who others perceive as weak. If it happened to me I know without a doubt many of us could be struggling or impacted before we realize it. I am working to get my life back from months of battling. Unfortunately I have car issues costing 1900 to fix and need to start over to find a new job etc. It's hard as a single parent knowing your kids cannot understand the situation or why you aren't your normal self. I pray for support to climb back showing myself and the kids that we are strong enough to overcome setbacks and until I get a new job I know I need help to get back on my feet. I pray that this resonates in your heart to care for anyone struggling with depression anxiety and mental health. Always listen without judgement or comparing as compassion empathy and love are commodities needed for all of us. If you have any ability to support bless you for your generosity but I understand some cannot to. God bless all that read this pour love and protection for all and may healing and peace be abundant to all as well. Amen 🙏 #MentalHealthAwareness #Depression #LoveHealsAll
