Health First Coalition is collaborating with Medical Students to address the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) in our hospitals throughout the State of Florida.

Considering the pandemic, we are focusing efforts on these three objectives:

1. Assist COVID19 patients and families with general and medical expenses;

2. Provide PPE to local hospitals in Florida for most critical needs; and

3. Prepare and deliver care packages to Healthcare workers.

We have designated liaisons in the following hospitals to deliver PPE  to where it is needed most in each hospital:

  • Baptist Health South Florida, Miami, FL
  • Broward Health, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  • Cleveland Clinic, Weston, FL
  • University of Florida College of Medicine, Jacksonville, FL
  • Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL

100% of the funds will go to these objectives. We are working with lawyers, doctors and medical students throughout the state of Florida to deliver PPE and allocate resources accordingly.

Donations will be used for PPE listed:

  • N95 Masks
  • Gloves (not latex)
  • Surgical masks
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Isolation gowns

Together, we can raise funds to prepare our physicians, medical staff, nurses, hospital personnel, patients, and families for the anticipated surge, while providing patients the funds for uncovered expenses to properly care for themselves when discharged. Having adequate medical supplies will help slow down the surge, protect our physicians and staff as they work endlessly on protecting our community, and assist in ensuring continuous patient care during this pandemic. Financial assistance for uncovered medical and care expenses will help patients obtain the proper care for themselves upon discharge; and thus, freeing up space in hospitals and preventing the spread of this deadly disease.

Problem:

We need to protect frontline and first responders. More responders means more capacity at our hospitals to ensure that patients will get the care they need. Shortage of masks, gowns, gloves and other critical supplies to protect our medical professionals in hospitals across the world places our frontline and first responders at risk to catching the virus. This is a big problem, because if a member of hospital staff catches the virus, they cannot work for at least 14 days.

Here's how you can help:

Donate Monetary donations will be used to support the purchase of hospital supplies and protective gear for clinical staff to the areas they need it the most. Donations will also be allocated for care packages to healthcare workers; and for direct patient assistance with medical and general expenses.

Help Spread the Word: Sharing our Fundraising Page will help raise awareness and encourage others to donate in any way they can.

Connect us to Manufacturers: If you know of a potential source of PPE or products to produce same, please contact: Maria Santi, Esq. at [email protected]

How will the funds be distributed:

All proceeds will benefit hospitals listed above and affected patients we are working with throughout Florida. If you know of any patients in Florida affected by COVID19 looking for financial assistance, please let us know by sending an email to [email protected]
