KUMAR SARVJEET

Professional Qualification:  B.E in Production Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi in 1997.

Work Experience: Lecturer in CIT college of Engineering, Tatisilvey, Ranchi from 1997-2004.

Political Experience:

ü  Presently, National Secretary of Lok Jansakti Party (LJP).

ü  2013 - Organized a Bihar-Bacho Rally proposed by L.J.P against Govt. of Bihar in Gandhi Maidan Gaya with massive One lakh plus attendance. 

ü  2010 - Contested for MLA from Bodhgaya but unfortunately lost in Nitish Kumar Wave even after getting 47,900 votes .

ü  2009 - Got elected as MLA from Bodhgaya (Reserve) constituency in By-election with 37,800 votes.

ü  2008 - Organized a huge rally in  Magadh Pramandal  on Death Anniversary of my Father with a crowd of over One lakh.

ü  Nonstop campaigning to establish a central university in Gaya - Did a Pad-Yatra of 35 kms from Gaya-Tekari  with 6 thousand people, Petitioned Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar, twice. Briefed and petitioned Kapil Sibbal, HRD Minister Govt. of India, twice.

ü  Had to take to active politics in Bihar after the death of my father in 2005 by Naxalites, during the election campaigning in Imamganj Reserve Constituency.

Political Background:

My father, Late Rajesh Kumar, Ex MP, Gaya, was very popular and effective leader of Dalit society in Bihar. During his 28 years of political career, he was an MLA from Bodhgaya, and an MP from Gaya several times. He was murdered while doing election campaign in Imamganj reserve Constituency by Naxalites (Ultra Left Violent Extremist groups who are opposed to the Indian Democracy).

ü    In 1977 he was MLA from Bodhgaya & parliamentary secretary.

ü    From 1985 – 90 MLA from Bodhgaya again.

ü    Became MP of Gaya for year 1992-1996.

ü    Lost MP election in 1996 with thin margin of 6 thousand.

ü    Have been in Jail for six month 1977 during Jai Prakash  movement.

ü    Very close & connected with renowned Freedom Fighter, Karpuri Thakur.
