Update #2

Monday we took my dad up to Omaha for his surgery. Starting prep at 2 p.m. and got him in recovery about 7 p.m. Thankfully, the procedure was successful. They were able to drain out all the bacteria built-up in his head, and cleared out his sinuses thoroughly. He spent Monday night in the hospital and they released him Tuesday at 9 a.m... .. .suffice to say, he was ready to get the heck out of there. He is sore today, but all is well :) My family just want's to thank all family and friends for their wonderful support, and donations. It truly helped in making this possible.

Love you all!

More Info

Rob is a hardworking man, who supports his wife and four kids. He is a friend of the Norton Community and the Lifeline of his household family. Recently, this family was informed that Robert will be needing surgery on April 13th, 2015. In this procedure, surgeons will be attempting to remove a tumor/cist and an infection throughout his forehead. He will be cut from ear to ear, parts of his skull will be removed and replaced with a metal plate; damaging nerves in his face. Any donations will be put towards the medical bill received after the surgery, and all support from family and friends is greatly appreciated.

Update #2

First of all, I really want to thank everyone who have donated! Also want to thank all of you supporters who have done well to share the word, it definetly makes a difference.

Recently, the hospital that had scheduled my father's surgery was cancelled due to no health insurance. Demanding $10,000 before they performed the surgery. As a result, we have put $350 towards buying my dad health insurance. We will be expecting that all to go through by May 1st and get the surgery scheduled immediately afterwards. Now, the only thing that we need to work towards, is getting a $2,500 deductible raised berfore my father can recieve his surgery.

Concerning my father's condition, it has been stressed that this surgery NEEDS to be done within the next 3-4 months. That is a rough estimation of how long my father has to live with his current condition, and it has been explained that any sort of treatments or antibiotics will not be able to get rid of any of this. That is not mentioning that during the time it takes to get the surgery, we will have to be cautious that the infection doesn't touch his brain. It is essential to know that this infection resides in a fracture in his skull. Spreading throughout the bone, and working it's way towards the brain. In conclusion, there isn't much left seperating the infection from the brain.

If you know my dad, then you know that all he does is jokes his way through things and sugar coats anything that he can. Thats just who he is and he definetly isn't going to let this little thing get him down. Yes, he's worried and probably thinks about it more than he lets off....but who wouldn't? My mother, my siblings, and I know that he is an amazingly strong man and he will get through this.

---As soon as we get details for the surgery, I will update.
