About Me

I began volunteering with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity in March 2012, shortly after relocating to Dallas, TX.  Fast forward six years later and I am still a faithful Core Volunteer/House Leader with Dallas Habitat.  I am committed to the work that Habitat for Humanity does across the globe now more than ever.

I had the opportunity to take my construction “skills” near and far with three Habitat trips that I will never forget, all due to the support and generosity of my friends and family.  Because of contributions to my campaigns, I was able to spent a week in Amarante, Portual for a Habitat for Humanity - Global Village build, Memphis, TN for the 2016 Carter Work Project, and Edmonton, AB, Canada for the 2017 Carter Work Project.

I am so excited to be a part of the 2018 Carter Work Project and look forward to making many, many more incredible Habitat memories.  Thank you in advance for your support whether it be good vibes or a few bucks, I appreciate every single one of you!  xoxo - Rhiana

More Info

For 35 years, Habitat for Humanity’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project has shone a spotlight on the need for decent, affordable housing in the U.S. and around the world. The 2018 Carter Work Project continues the tradition and will be hosted by Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County in Indiana.

As part of the 2018 Carter Work Project, homeowners will work alongside President and Mrs. Carter and hundreds of other volunteers to build or improve more than 30 homes in Mishawaka and South Bend. The need for affordable housing is at an all-time high. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 16.6 percent of people living in St. Joseph County and 27 percent of those living in South Bend, Indiana, live in poverty. For families struggling to secure a decent place to live, an affordable house can provide the strength, stability and independence they need to create a better life for themselves.

Inspiring millions, President and Mrs. Carter have worked alongside 101,276 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate and repair 4,290 homes.

Your support can help make homeownership a reality for in need of decent shelter.

About Habitat for Humanity International

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 1,300 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.
