More Info

Hi, I'm Erin!  I'm one of the original neuro PTs at re+active.  I've been a neurologic PT for 12 years, and it was truly my calling.  My clients become my family, and I care deeply for them and their well-being.

I have seen first-hand the transformation that skilled neurologic therapy can have on a person's life and want nothing more than for all people who need these services to be able to access them.

Although re+active is not a non-profit (yet!), we work to find ways to provide the services people need without letting cost be a barrier as much as possible.  That mission was the motivation behind creating these fundraisers.

I've been a runner much longer than I've been a therapist.  I've run 5 marathons and countless half marathons to date.  While many people hate running, I find it helps me think better, feel stronger, and become more empowered.  I love the impact I can have with running because it not only meets so many of my needs I can also use it as a vehicle to help others by fundraising while I train.  I always aim to challenge myself and grow in life, and my latest challenge is my biggest yet!

I am training to run a 50Km race from San Jose to Santa Cruz, California on Oct 5th.

That's right... 50,000 meters aka 31 miles through the trails all the way to the coast. (yikes!)

This will be the longest and hardest race I've attempted yet, and I want to use this opportunity to fundraise for the many clients (or potential clients) who need access to specialty neurologic therapy and can't afford it.

Thinking of the impact this can make on our community will give me the energy and inspiration to keep going on those long, hard runs and during the longest race of my life.

Our goal is to raise $5000 in order to provide 25 pro bono visits to those in need.  Please consider contributing to this wonderful cause and to support me in my monumental quest!

Thank you!

Erin Gallardo

Join us for our third campaign to provide 25 pro bono visits for people who need specialized neurologic physical therapy but do not have insurance coverage for it.   Each donation of $200 covers a much needed individualized therapy visit for someone.

______________________________________________________________

re+active is a neurologic physical therapy clinic & wellness studio based out of Los Angeles and Torrance, California. Our team started small however is growing fast. We have seen the positive impact in the lives that we have thus far touched, and we refuse to stop there. As a passionate team of lovers of neurology who deeply care about the people we serve, we are striving to touch even more lives,  especially those that may not have the financial means and equipment they need to live their most optimal life.

If you know someone with a neurologic disorder, you know that their need for physical therapy and exercise is life long.  For many people the cost and access to specialty care make it impossible to receive the services and equipment needed to stay active and independent.

At re+active we have developed programs to help people with neurologic disorders stay healthy and active longer and we want to expand these to help more people who cannot afford them.  So, we have started re+connect: a mini pro bono clinic within our clinic with the goal of serving 100 people this year.  Please help us kick off our fundraising efforts through this campaign.

PS--we are in the process of starting our non-profit for this cause--more info coming soon!

Update #4

Have you met Kelly?

She is a seasoned re+active attendee who is full of love, has a great spirit and who knows the benefit that physical therapy has on her life. It can be challenging at times to keep up with MD visits, physical therapy, family time and just getting out of the house, however Kelly makes the most of her days and never looses her beautiful smile.

We are asking for financial support for Kelly's visits to help supplement a small portion of her medical costs. Will you help spread the word?
We are so grateful for you and all the support you've given us thus far. Thank you!

Love,
your re+connect team
