Poway Family in Need

Poway Family in Need

From Christine Zobel

A local Poway family has suffered a string of hardship. On February 5th, they lost their vehicle - which was also their shelter. Please help us get this family of four safely off the street and back on track.

Update #1

It is with a heavy heart that I must report this platform, Fundly, is refusing to release the funds to the family. They have not received a penny of this money and Fundly has decided to begin refunding everyone. I am beside myself and completely flabbergasted by this whole situation. Shame on Fundly!! If anyone has any ideas I am open to hearing anything. This has been stressful enough.

More Info

From the family: We never thought we would see ourselves in this situation. We were almost there, almost back to where we needed to be - but another obstacle landed in our path that we have not been able to overcome alone. We were living out of our car, and almost had enough saved to get into an apartment. Our car was wrongfully impounded, and has been accruing fees daily since it was taken from us. Even if we could have the car towed out of impound, we have nowhere to have it delivered and still do not know what needs to be repaired in order for the car to function properly again. We both have jobs and work as much as we can, but without a vehicle we are stuck with bus routes and unpredictable schedules. We have nowhere to go and have been incredibly blessed by the community providing funds for us to stay at a local motel.

We understand that the current times are difficult for everyone, and we truly do not like asking for help, but we could not tackle this alone. We have two children, aged 5 and 7, that are relying on us to keep them safe. These babies have been through a lot and still thrive both in school and with their peers.

We are working hard to get back on track, but right now we need blessings. We are asking for your help to get us back on our feet so that we can work on getting to a place of our own.

Thank you for reading and we appreciate your time.

Thank you to everyone that has been keeping us safe since February 5th when we would have been sleeping on the street in the rain. We are incredibly appreciative and forever grateful.
