My first encounter with Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, Angela, the Executive Director, said something that really stuck with me. She said, "fathers are forever." This resonated with me because strong fathers don't only benefit their families but communities and generations to come. The impact fathers have is important, and I am thankful that mine was such a rock in my life. Through struggle, doubt, and uncertainty he has always stayed positive and been a constant source of love, wisdom, and reason for me. I ask you to join me in supporting Midlands Fatherhood Coalition and help us raise funds for IT upgrades. In this time of social distancing and safety concerns, being able to virtually connect with our fathers is crucial. MFC has pivoted constantly and this next step of upgrading our technology will help continue the success we have had.
In the age of Zoom meetings, it is important to have computers with cameras. Our team is looking to raise $10,000 for IT upgrades that will allow our intervention specialists to work one-on-one with fathers. During COVID, especially, it is both safer for staff, as well as being better for the fathers we serve.
