There is nothing more important than a safe place to call home and nothing demonstrates the American dream more than homeownership. Habitat for Humanity is an essential part of this dream for many who otherwise could never purchase or maintain a home. Having volunteered for the Wicomico County Habitat for Humanity, I have seen up close the wonderful work they do and services they provide for our community, not just for the homeowners, but also for the neighborhoods in safety and well-being. There is so much MORE they can do with additional funding. Your monetary donation is matched exponential in many ways. Thank you for giving and support me as a “Chef for Habitat.”
Habitat has teamed up with group of “Celebrity Sous Chefs” who will work with local culinary experts and show off their own talents. Our "Celebrity Sous Chefs" are both eager and enthusiastic movers and shakers of the community who share Habitat’s values, and have a competitive spirit. Sous Chefs will be taught a skill by a local professional chef and will participate in a competition to test who has mastered their new technique the best.
In addition to our friendly kitchen competition, all Sous Chefs are asked to raise money in support of the event, and Habitat’s mission to eliminate substandard housing. Each winner of this two-part challenge will be named on the night of the gala.
