About Me

Prior to visiting Kenya and St. Theresa's Mission Hospital this past December we asked them if there was anything we could bring for their hospital. We didn't receive a list until a day and a half before we left. With one day to shop and not much room in our suitcases we purchased what we could. After arriving and looking at our gift in comparison to the need, I asked God how we could make more of a difference, and what could we do to create a lasting impact. He introduced me to Project Cure. I knew immediately I needed to step up and begin a project. God was faithful, now it was my turn. With your assistance we will be able to give this hospital a gift which will impact the lives of many in the Kiirua area. Local, quality hospitals like this one are vital to the health and well being of the local population. A majority of Kenyans have only their own two feet for transportation. Most Americans take state of the art health care for granted. In Kenya, especially the rural areas no or primitive health care is the norm. You can help the Sisters and staff at St. Theresa's bring additional medical services to a larger segment of the population. Please contribute to this project, and may God receive all the glory.

About C.U.R.E. Cargo

About half of Project C.U.R.E.’s year is spent conducting on-site needs assessments in hospitals and clinics in developing countries. This is equivalent to approximately 13 years spent assessing more than 1,000 medical facilities in more than 100 countries. Project C.U.R.E. manages a quality-check, inventory and logistics process resulting in millions of dollars worth of medical supplies and equipment being placed directly into inventory systems of the poorest nations in the world. Project C.U.R.E. works in collaborative partnerships to develop high-level understanding of a partner’s needs and situation. This assures accountability to both our in-country partners and our donors. Our process ensures that every container delivered will meet the specific needs and approval of the recipient hospital, equipping them with the life-saving tools to provide an enhanced level of diagnosis, treatment and care for patients. On average, the Project C.U.R.E. cost for the processing and delivery of one container is $20,000. Each container will place approximately $400,000 worth of medical supplies and technologically appropriate equipment into the hands of medical staff where they're most needed.

About Project C.U.R.E.

Whether it’s the over 16,000 volunteers who donate their service across the country and around the globe, our austere 1% overhead, the 126 C.U.R.E. Cargo Containers carrying $61,000,000 in medical supplies and equipment to fifty-one countries, the estimated 3.65 million pounds of usable medical surplus redirected from U.S. hospitals and health providers, the 225 needs assessments conducted in thirty-six countries, the over 11,000 Kits for Kids delivered to thirty- five countries, or every sponsorship and donor dollar converted into $20 of medical aid, you just can't go wrong by helping Project C.U.R.E. send health and hope to the world.
