I'm a single mother who recently just got back to work after being out of work for 6 months. While trying to get on my feet I want to make sure Nasir is receiving the best education and care. I decided to send Nasir to Southern Maryland Christian Academy for a multitude of reasons.
Safety is a top priority for me when it comes to Nasir, especially with the increasing number of incidents of school shootings and reports of guns being found in schools in our area. Nasir and I reside in an area where there is a significant presence of gun violence, both in proximity to and sometimes even on school campuses. SMCA has separate buildings for early childhood learning, which adds an extra layer of security.
The classroom sizes are excessively large in our district, which means Nasir wouldn't receive the same level of attention during instruction time as he would in a class with fewer students. Smaller classes often result in improved classroom management, reducing disruptions and enabling teachers to maintain a focused and productive learning environment. Most importantly my goal is to improve the overall quality of education, nurture Nasir's growth, and ensure a more fulfilling academic experience.
While this decision is the best option, I do need help from Nasir's village to help keep him in this school. Due to me being Nasir's custodial parent, having to cover the cost of school and other bills has taken a toll on me financially. I am asking that even if you cannot donate PLEASE SHARE !!
