A huge thank you to all of my wonderful and generous supporters...I have made my goal and will be attending the Summit! I couldn't have done it without you and will be taking your good will and enthusiasm with me to Cape Cod in October! Onward and upward! And may your dreams be blessed for investing in mine.
Each season, the Story Summit gathers award-winning professionals to provide intimate, meaningful and productive relationships with screenwriters and authors in an inspiring, immersive and naturally beautiful environment.
“I have received a terrific fellowship from Jeff Arch, but I am still short of my tuition goal to be able to attend the Story Summit this October,” says Julia. "I am hoping that the Story Summit will aid in jumpstarting my writing career so I might have a sustainable future. Anything that you could do would be appreciated. Also the donation is made to the Storyteller Foundation which is a non-profit so donors will be able to take their contribution as a tax deduction.”
A mother of “three artistic kids” from Westport, Connecticut, Julia Bobkoff, is a fellowship recipient for her work on the epic screenplay, The Hammer and the Cross: The Lost King.
Her manuscript, King’s Daughter, recently won the Grand Prize for Drama at the Launch Pad Manuscript Competition. The manuscript also won the Inkshares Publishing Prize.
“I’m glad Julia’s coming to the Cape,” says Jeff Arch, author of the classic rom com, Sleepless in Seattle. “When they say ‘don’t try this at home,’ they’re describing the exact kind of story Julia’s writing. And the fact that she’s trying it anyway, and doing a good job of it, is why we want to bring her to this year’s Summit.”
“I am delighted to be joining the Summit,” says Julia. “With a variety of mentors who’ve spent a lifetime in the film industry, I know I am in good hands. I hope to be of service to other writers, too — encouraging them in their dreams. I appreciate your help and am grateful."
From the beginning, it was always the word. Through the unique ability to imagine and connect to one another through words, humankind stepped into greatness.
Had it not been for Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables, our hearts may never have known compassion for the poor.
Had it not been for Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin, there may have never have been a civil rights movement.
Had it not been for Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, A Ghost Story, there may never have been the charitable component associated with the holiday.
We need one another. Had Ernest Hemingway not encouraged J.D. Salinger, there may never have been The Catcher in the Rye
The writer’s life can be lonely, so it is important to connect them with professionals who can support them in their storytelling and a lifetime of stories.
We see people, not writers. We are inspired by their passion and their willingness to give themselves up for their story.
We see equal value in all writers. We are dedicated to improving the lives of every storyteller we work with.
We build partnerships around the world with like-minded dreamers interested in building a better tomorrow through the future of storytelling.
The Mission of the Storyteller Foundation is to elevate the human experience through stories that inspire and encourage.

To all my wonderful supporters: Thank you! I am now almost 40% of the way to my goal of attending the October Story Summit with Jeff Arch due to your generosity. To help get me to the finish line, I'm asking you, if you can, to reach out and share my campaign with someone you know who supports women in film, working mothers, and the power of storytelling to change lives. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to my dream. Thank you again for your belief in me and your support.
