Help send Dean to Ecuador

More Info

I am currently a junior at the University of Texas studying biochemistry and planning on applying to dental schools this summer! I have been blessed with the opportunity to play club soccer my first two years here at UT and now am honored to be an officer for the Christian fraternity here on campus called BYX. I have felt God’s hand guiding me all throughout my time here at UT through difficult Ochem classes and also through great times with my brothers that I have come to love and respect as part of my family. Last summer I was able to work as a counselor at a Christian youth sports camp called Camp Ozark in Arkansas, where I learned a lot about myself and the desire I have to serve others, especially kids (regardless of whether or not they support UT).

I have been given the opportunity to travel with Medical Ministry International, a faith based medical organization that seeks to provide compassion and health care to those in need. We will be travelling to Banos, Ecuador, where we will travel to remote villages to provide medical care as well as general health education from June 7 through June 21. This is for me an awesome opportunity to begin working for the Lord by providing physical and spiritual aid to those who are in desperate need of both. This trip for me is a way to accomplish many things that I enjoy doing, among them being serving others less fortunate than myself, developing my understanding of the Spanish language, and following God’s call to step outside of my comfort zone and allow Him to use me however He has planned.
