About The Team

I became a father May 28, 2019, and it was the best day of my life. I became involved with the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition in the fall of 2019, and lost my father unexpectedly. His death was caused by an emergency stemming from a chronic heart condition that he managed successfully for almost 20 years. As the condition was discovered during a medical emergency in 2001, while my father was uninsured, charitable contributions made those 20 years possible. In that time, we caught up from time we missed, became best friends, and he got to see his first grandchild days before he passed away.

A number of fathers in the Midlands are facing similar circumstances as mine, and anything you are moved to contribute can make priceless opportunities possible for the fathers and children in the Midlands that need it.

More Info

In the age of Zoom meetings, it is important to have computers with cameras.  Our team is looking to raise $10,000 for IT upgrades that will allow our intervention specialists to work one-on-one with fathers. During COVID, especially,  it is both safer for staff, as well as being better for the fathers we serve.
