About Me

Hi, I'm Emmi Feldhaus and I am a sophomore at Memorial :) I got involved with Youth Resources about 2 years ago. I first heard about YR through the summer program TeenPower. I always wanted to go to TeenPower in middle school, but I never got the opportunity to go. The summer of freshman year, I was fortunate enough to go to TeenPower for the first time. That was the best decision I ever made! Through that, I learned about YR, and joined TAC my freshman year. I am involved in TeenPower as well as TAC, where I am a co-chair on exec. What I love about YR is the warm, welcoming environment as well as the people. They are my second family. I love that YR lets me be myself and is a judgement free zone. I've grown through YR because I've learned how to make strong relationships with my peers and adults, learned time management, learned to be myself, made so many long-lasting friendships, and the list goes on an on.

More Info

TAC's Executive Committee is a group of dedicated students who lead the Teen Advisory Council (TAC).

TAC engages teens from area high schools in youth-led leadership and community service projects. The Council collectively contributes thousands of hours of service within our community. Through TAC, teens plan and facilitate collaborative projects involving diverse community organizations, encourage civic responsibility among their peers, develop relationships with positive adult mentors, and build a stronger local community through their active leadership.

What is YR Day?

YR Day is a 24-hour online party and fundraising event for YR and the people who make YR possible (that’s you). Whether you’re a student, alumni, parent, volunteer or just a fan with a special place in your heart for YR - this celebration is for you!

Now, you might be asking, “If YR Day is a celebration for me, then why am I being asked to give?”

The truth is, the life changing programs that YR provides to area youth are largely dependent on private support. So while celebrating YR’s present and past is definitely worthwhile, it’s also our responsibility to look ahead to future students. Their YR experiences are not yet guaranteed, which is why we ask for your help.
