CMU Physician Assistant 2023 Rimrock Marathon Fundraiser

We are the Colorado Mesa Physician Assistant Class of 2025. Part of what we learn here at CMU are ways we can promote healthy habits to our patients. What better way to do that than with some healthy habits of our own?

That’s why on Sunday, November 5, 10 members of the CMU PA Class of 2025 are running the annual Rimrock marathon and half marathon. Even better, it is taking place in the scenic Colorado National Monument right here in Grand Junction, Colorado.

We are all very excited for the event and no better opportunity to fundraise for a good cause than with a race. Our program at CMU keeps us plenty busy with lectures and skills labs as well as community initiatives like our research capstones and volunteer opportunities. One of the best ways we can continue to grow our program is our ability to attend PA conferences.

That’s why our fundraising efforts are going towards our annual CAPA and AAPA conferences coming up in 2024. These events give us opportunities to meet other physician assistants from all across the country as well as compete in national events, like Challenge Bowl and Ultrasound iScan. That level of exposure helps promote CMU's program and enhance our education before we become providers.

So how can you support us? Any and all donations are welcomed, no matter how big or small. If you want to support any of our half marathon runners, you can donate $13.10, the same as the distance they are running. Same goes for our marathon runner, where you can match his distance of 26.2 miles with $26.20. But once again, any amount, no matter how big or small would be appreciated.
