This year on June 25, I will be turning 25 years old. Instead of celebrating it by myself, I want to use my birthday to raise awareness and funds for the children around the world suffering in poverty.

I am so blessed to be able to have a 25th birthday- sometimes we forget the blessings we have and our opportunities to bless others. "Christine for Compassion" is a fundraiser and an awareness-raiser for those who have no voice- children in poverty.
Here are some facts:
A child in a developing country is 10 times more likely to die before the age of 5 than a child born in a modern country.
Every day, almost 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes. That's one child every five seconds.
Approximately 80 percent of human trafficking victims are women and girls, and up to 50 percent are minors.
