About Me

I will be walking in Philadelphia Oct. 17 to unite with the call for Unity through Reparations, a day of action in solidarity with the black community’s struggle for social and economic justice to be held in at least eight cities across the U.S. The March for Reparations is coordinated by the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, the organization of white people working under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party. The demand is an end to police murder and terror, support the right of the black community to lead their own struggle for self-determination, and the call to white people to end our complicity with the government and stand in solidarity with African Liberation. Local demands for the City of Philadelphia: to provide adequate housing for the homeless; for Temple, UPenn and Drexel to pay reparations to the African community for gentrification and land grabs in North and West Philly; for the City of Philadelphia to pay reparations to MOVE for the 40+ year incarceration of the MOVE 9 and 1985 bombing and murder of 11 MOVE children, women, and men; for the immediate release of Mumia Abu-Jamal; for the City of Philadelphia to end the war against African, Mexican, Puerto Rican and other colonized communities; and for the City to pay reparations for mass incarceration, police murder, the violence of poverty, a genocidal health care system, and hostile, colonial schools.

This is what reparations looks like

The March for Reparations to African People is a major fundraising campaign to raise $20,000 (at least!) in material solidarity with the Black Power Blueprint - a St. Louis-based program that functions as a blueprint for black-led self-determination and empowerment in cities across the U.S. and world.

THIS is what reparations looks like! Reparations for the Black Power Blueprint.

The Black Power Blueprint is a black-led, anti-colonial, anti-gentrification program. It is led by the African working class, building their own political and economic power over their communities and resources.  The Black Power Blueprint is acquiring abandoned, dilapidated buildings, and initiating a rapid process of restoration or demolition to create black community-led, self-reliance programs that uplift the residents and engage them socially, politically and economically in the future of their community.

For white people, the stand of material solidarity with the Black Power Blueprint is a stance of reparations, acknowledging that the social wealth in the white community has come at the expense of colonialism, enslavement and oppression of African people and theft of their resources.

The stand of reparations for the Black Power Blueprint is a stand against police violence, mass incarceration, genocide, colonial poverty and all other forms of injustice and oppression. It is a stand for justice and reparations for African people, the only way that genuine peace for all humanity will be possible.
