Lucy (15yrs old) was adopted 5 years ago and dumped at a shelter across country in horrifying condition. We are trying to get her back to get her the help she needs.....

My heart sank when I read the e-mail with this photo asking if I would be willing to take her back. My respond was ABSOLUTELY with out giving it a thought. Lucy was adopted out years ago from Little League Rescue in AZ and ended up in a shelter in NC in awful condition. She was mated so badly that her ears where ulcerated shut, she had matting down to her skin and the shelter staff was not able to even see her eyes. We are not even sure at this point that she has any vision. The shelters rescue coordinator has been so very helpful and we are working on getting her out of the shelter just as soon as she is released from her holding period. Task at hand is to find transport to bring Lucy back across country.
