About The Team

Zones 1-6 volunteers and supporters are working passionately to help make me the next Mayor of Daytona Beach, Florida!

More Info

I, Sherrise Boyd, am currently seeking Office of the Mayor of my city.  I seek to follow the other great leaders, and making an ImPACT.  My experience ranges from almost 20 years in upper management, about 10 years of combined government between local and federal agencies, and over 15 years in community services. My experiences have placed me in diverse roles, locations, and made me fortunate to work with just as diverse people.

I seek to make an ImPACT in the City of Daytona Beach.  I believe we have much to offer and there are areas for improvement.  My agenda will be to ensure the city supports and practices Progressiveness, Accountability, Community and Transparency.

I realized about 11 years ago the need for me to become mayor.  I committed my learning to ensure I was prepared for the duties entailed in this role.  I have overseen budgets in the upwards of $24M, I have managed administrative teams, and I am highly experienced in human resources and project managment.

My education includes an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity, a Masters in Emergency & Disaster Management, a Masters Nonprofit Management, and a Bachelors in Project Management.

Contributing to my campaign will bring me one step closer to take on the challenges and responsibilities of decreasing the homeless population, reducing crime rates, improving city and citizens relations, increase revenues, and make history.  In addition, I believe in listening the people.  One day I may be greeting children at the school bus stop wishing them a great day at school, and some days I will stand before stakeholders and decision makers arguing for what is best for the City of Daytona Beach.

My community service experiences have been blessings and humbled me to understand how much each person can help someone.  From feeding the hungry to supporting women in domestic violence rescue centers, tutoring individuals on GED prep and aiding U.S. Marines who suffer from PTSD and substance abuse, and many others has been due to my passion to serve.

Once elected in to office, I plan to continue my community service works, and implement other ways we, as a city, can do community wide community services.

On the personal note, I am optimistic, I feel the City needs to be more diverse; despite being born in NY, which makes me a transient to the City, I cannot stress the benefits to and need for Diversity & Inclusion.

I hope you will contribute; I would hate to lose out on the opportunity to make a difference because I wasn't able to raise enough money to run my campaign.  This is the ultimate grassroot campaign.  Generous contributions are deeply appreciated, and I will be fiduciary conscious with every dollar received.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, in person fund raising events are being rescheduled, but it may be too late to raise the money in person by the time elections take place in August, so I have created this account.

Please share, if you care.
