Ben, Dylan, Ian and I would like to thank you for your donation, your thoughts, positive messages and words of encouragement. Our world was turned upside down in June of last year but from day 1 we have been surrounded by love and support and it is this love and support that has helped us and especially Ben get through this. Ben has always been an inspiration to us and he has always pushed himself to his personal limits when playing sports. He approached this hurdle with the same grit, determination, strength and fire and we are so proud of him. All news from Ben's doctors has been very positive and he is expected to slowly return to playing sports in a month. We are forever grateful to all staff and doctors at Sick Kids especially Dr. Gerstle, Dr. Shaikh, the 5D and 5B teams. We will be donating a portion of your donations to the General/Thoracic Surgery Unit at Sick Kids. We would also like to thank from the bottom of our hearts Coach Silvio and Team Manager Marija who have been so incredibly kind to Ben and have surrounded him with positivity and love especially after his surgery. The boys (and girl)on his hockey team have been so awesome to Ben and he is so proud of them, especially over the last 2 months. The love, support and positive words of encouragement from all teams Ben has played on or against, the parents, coaches, the Eagles organization, our friends and family has been overwhelming and we thank you!

More Info

Ben St. Aubin, #18 Toronto Eagles Peewee A, recently underwent major surgery to remove a large tumour lodged in his rib cage. The 8+ hours surgery was a success and Ben is now recovering at home with his family. In addition to the obvious stress involved with this major event, come many unexpected expenses and lost work hours. This is certainly a Christmas this family will never forget. Join us, if you can, in helping this family get through this difficult time.
