Many of the classmates and teachers from our St. John's Class of 1972 recently got together to celebrate our 50-year class reunion. We spent a fantastic afternoon and evening together, talking about our days at St. John's and reminiscing. We reflected back to our years together, and we all agreed that our experiences at St. John's were some of the most impactful moments throughout our childhood years. It was an easy leap to then decide to fundraise as a class to help a child have the same opportunity to attend St. John's that we enjoyed.

Graduates of St. John's Lutheran School realize how fortunate and blessed we were to have had the opportunity to attend St. John's as young girls and boys. Not only did we receive a very well-rounded, excellent education to prepare us for high school and college, but the teachers helped plant the seeds of faith deep inside of us - the same seeds that would blossom later. The teachers also affirmed all of the guiding principles that our parents and family taught us at home including keeping Jesus at the center of our lives, treating others with respect, having servant's hearts, and realizing that everything that we had and was were all blessings from God. Every child should have the opportunity to attend St. John's Lutheran School and Church as we did. What a different world this would be if they did.
