Gift a Family's Christmas Wish
September 1st marks the beginning of the holiday season in the Philippines and Christmas is the most important holiday, a day for family traditions, festive feast and abundance. But for families living in extreme poverty, holidays can be a stressful and sad event. The common meal of the families in slum community we serve in Tondo, Manila is called "pagpag" - scavenged food scraps from garbage, cleaned, boiled and seasoned.
Project PEARLS holiday tradition ensures that these families will not have "pagpag" as their holiday meals! And that through our Toy Drive, we can give wrapped Christmas gifts to children who otherwise might have none.
Join us in this tradition, “Adopt A Family This Christmas!” For only $20 or Php 1000, your adopted family will receive a grocery pack good for a family of 6- 8 and their children will be invited to a Christmas party where they will all receive gifts and treats.
