Karama (meaning gift) was built and given to The Joshua Foundation about 8 years ago. Karama currently houses two families under its roof. But the roofing material used has proven ineffective against the tropical sun and rain. It has needed constant repairs over the past 5 years all of which have only given short term relief. We are looking for a long-term solution that will enable this house to remain a central housing option on the base of TJF. The amount we are seeking to raise will allow for the necessary re-framing, re-roofing in durable roofing steel and the installation of guttering to enable water harvesting (also a great need with eight months of no rain each year).
