Story Time! Back in July I quit my job and devoted my energies towards telling people’s stories. I jumped into these endeavors having very little direction and a lot of faith. Over the past 9 months, God has provided opportunities for me to pursue this calling in amazing ways. I have traveled to Charlottesville to document the KKK & Nazi intrusion. From passionate, talented artists to genuine, struggling individuals fighting homelessness, I have been able to share the stories of friends in my own community. I just returned from Puerto Rico where I was able to capture scenes of disaster relief work, shed light on the culture’s needs, and celebrate the Puerto Rican people. Moving forward, I am looking into several opportunities to share the stories of the marginalized including work with refugees overseas, projects with the local homeless community, and an opportunity to film a short documentary about 4 local DACA recipients who are going back to Puerto Rico.Everything I do with my work is towards the goal to humanize the dehumanized. To shed light on hard issues, provoke conversation, and to bring hope to those who feel forgotten. By contributing, these are the goals you are joining me towards accomplishing. Your contributions help me give voice to the voiceless
WHY? Most of the work I do to give voice to the marginalized is self-funded. After my personal camera bit the dust in November (RIP), God has provided cameras in amazing ways through strangers and friends, this campaign is to provide funds for gear, trips, and training.
WHAT? My urgent need at the moment is funds for a new camera. Also important at this time is first responders training. I’ve included other items so you can see some of the vision I have moving forward.(*) Priorities
