Hi, I am raising money to help me participate in a service opportunity to Panama this summer where I will be able to shadow doctors, assist in a pharmacy, and educate the locals the importance of hygiene.

This trip to Panama will be an eye-opening and knowledgable experience full of helping and interacting with the people of Panama. I will not only shadow medical professionals, but also practice some medical skills like taking blood pressure. On top of that, I will learn the history, traditions, and beliefs of these people.
In the past I have participated in an immersion trip to Navajo Nation in Arizona and this experience was truly eye-opening. I was able to learn so much about the Navajo people as well as help their community by building a structure that would benefit them all. This has inspired me to want to experience more cultures, and help others more. Once I heard about Medical Brigades at USD I knew I wanted to be part of this program.
