Due mostly to medical reasons, I have to pay to retake some courses out of pocket because my classes attempted vs completed do not meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. I'm just going to run through quickly so that it is understood how  they have attributed to my acedemic difficulties.

In 2003, I was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma of the Liver. Even after missing a year of high school, I graduated on time and achieved SAT scores in the top 15% of the nation for that year.

In 2007, I started college. My cancer returned a month later. I had to drop classes past the add/drop date. 2007-2008 was spent failing to find treatments that would work on the now resistant cells.  Finally, a team at the NIH successfully removed the tumor. I spent the next two years working and flying to the NIH for follow ups every 1-3 months.

In 2009, I enrolled in classes again. On a follow up visit in DC, a new growth was discovered. Surgery was performed 2 days later. Once healed enough, I flew home to finish recovering. I did not withdraw from these same classes in time yet again.

Overall, these 8 classes have skewed my "classes attempted vs completed" ratio below 75% and I cannot be awarded financial aid to cover class expenses until my ratio improves.

Since then I have focused on my family, work, and living in general in a very day-to-day way, but I'm ready to work towards an academic future again.

I work 40 hrs a week. I'll lift my GPA by removing these failed classes and completing additional courses. Then I would do 75% enrollment to qualify for grants/loans as my school loans are currently in repayment in very good status. I owe no past due amounts at this time, and have begun payments on my first classes due to start 3/19/2018. I have full award for FAFSA (gov grants), but I must simply get into good standings academically them to be awarded and this I can easily do. Anytime I have had the freedom to apply myself, I have exceeded.

Any help to meet my goal would be appreciated beyond belief. Help with books, courses, breaks for the family or playdates with the kids (if you're local friends or family).  In the meantime, I will continue working on saving and studying independently!

I will keep a running list of proof of enrollment, receipts, and other documentation here for those following this.

Update #1

My primary goal to help with my immediate semester has been met. I can't begin to express my thanks. Receipts will be updated on or after 2/5 when the initial transfer happens. You guys are my heroes.
Any additional funds will go directly to my next semesters and will continue to have receipts and updates. I sincerely appreciate the chance I'm receiving and will definitely put it to use!
