Lily Grace Strong is fighting for her life. She has suffered a stroke of unknown etiolgy. She lay in the ICU at John's Hopkins for a week and after her mommy and daddy thought she was making great progress, she had a seizure. She was then rushed into a CT scan where doctors found swelling on her brain. Emergency surgery ensued where they removed half of her skull and placed pressure monitors. She was placed in a medical-induced coma. Then it was discovered this morning that she had no brain activity and she was cold. She was rushed into another CT scan. That CT scan ruled out brain swelling. Her doctor at this point in time think that her cells were storing some of the medicine used to place her into a coma which then threw her into a deeper coma. They are lessening her medicine and praying for some brain activity within 72 hours. I am hoping to raise some money for the Strong family to help with whatever need they have at this moment, be it food, gas, clothes etc. Gracie has Down Syndrome and Kim has always been a huge help in the Down Syndrome communty helping anyone she knew was in need.
