I am currently enrolled in a Social Work course, which revolves around the topic of domestic violence. As a community awareness project, we were assigned to raise money in order to buy supplies for the Sojourner House, in Providence, RI. The Sojourner House is a safe for battered women and their children to go and make the right steps in getting back to a productive and healthy life. "The mission of the Sojourner House is to provide culturally sensitive support, advocacy, safety and respect for victims of domestic abuse and to effect systems change." Domestic Violence is a real situation in areas all over the world and the prevalence of it is only increasing. The women living in the Sojourner House are well on their way to regaining their confidence, but they need your help, too! We would appreciate any donation, large or small, to make a beneficial difference to these women! Thank you!!
