Update #5

Hello, everybody.

Firstly, I want to thank everybody for giving their hearts out in just five days. The Lord blessed through all of you. I must inform you of both good news and bad news.

While we first intended to have a skin graft surgery for Blanca, we found out that her sudden fits of rage was due to the fact that her skinless leg was in too much pain, and she constantly kept attacking it; thus backing up the healing process. Even when the doctors thoroughly cleaned her leg, Blanca still went into fits. So...we had to come to the decision of amputating Blanca's leg. Blanca's surgery went well, but she has a tube inserted in her. She's currently at the hospital healing from the surgery. The good news is that the amputation will greatly decrease the pain that she's been fighting for months, although she now has to recover from this surgery.

The pictures you see now are fresh and new. Blanca may be missing a leg, but she is her ol' self again. The surgery was originally estimated to be $1100 to $1300, but it turned out to be $1,009.00. The rest of the money will buy her meds during recovery, and the latter will be used to cover for the other hospital bill when we went to Becker. None of the money will go to waste, I ensure you all.

We sincerely thank you all for helping the Johnson Family and our pet, Blanca. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you all richly. Amen.

More Info

It started when Blanca went outside and confronted a stray cat. After a short fight, we noticed in a few days that Blanca walked with a limp under one of her front legs. We soon realized that an abscess was growing. We made the mistake of taking her to Becker Animal Hospital. While there, they sedated her and placed a tube in her to drain the abscess. After being charged a ridiculous $400.00, Blanca didn't seem to get any better under their care. In fact, the skin on her leg transitioned into gangrene.

Surgery was performed and more money was added to the tab ($1,400). I was no longer pleased with Becker's services and demanded for her to be removed from their care. The next day, we brought her to a new hospital where for the most part, her healing has been going well. However, Blanca has ripped out of her bandages several times causing her healing to be backed up (mainly due to medicine side effects).

New bandages each day cost money, but the main issue will be to pay for her skin grafting surgery, which will most likely increase her healing. We love Blanca very much, and we do not want to put her down. The skin graft surgery is rather mandatory. We appreciate anyone who is willing to help.

PRAISE THE LORD JESUS!!

I can't even fathom what to say about this MIRACLE OF GOD!! In just five days, we have reached our goal!! This is outrageous beyond words in a good way!! HOW GREAT IS THE LORD. Everyone who donated, my family and I can not thank you enough . This is just...WOW!!

We have immediately reached a surgeon, and we will meet on March 2nd. Sadly, that was the only date available for Blanca. I wish that we could get her this surgery as soon as tomorrow. I will be closing the campaign at 11pm tonight. PRAISE GOD, and thank you all for giving out of the kindness of your heart.

Update #1

My GOD!! We have received $610.00 in just four days of this campaign opening! This is truly amazing! For your information, we plan to use the first one thousand on her surgery, and the latter will be used to pay for her daily check ups and medicine afterwards.

We have been paying for the continual bandages on her leg for now. Today, I received a good report that despite Blanca re-injuring her leg due to a bad reaction to meds or an itch underneath the bandages, Blanca's leg is back to good shape; therefore, her chances for skin grafting is that much better.

The Johnson Family can't thank you all enough for blessing us at such an expedient rate. This is truly amazing; to God be the glory. Thank you--in Jesus' name. Amen!
