About Me

On Friday, July 30, I'll be joining hundreds of people across North America and worldwide for the Keep TCA Running 5K. This taiko community initiative is an opportunity to move for something that matters. For me, that’s my health – both mentally and physically – and in support of our taiko community. I’ll be standing (and running!) with TCA in their mission to empower the people and advance the art of taiko. Every dollar I raise will go to support TCA’s mission. Want to help? Support me by making a donation! Thank you for believing in not only the power of taiko, but in the power of community. - Sarah

BE A PART OF THE MOVEMENT

With a mission to empower the people and advance the art of taiko, the Taiko Community Alliance is the only nonprofit in North America dedicated to providing a home for taiko artists and practitioners of all experience levels. As a grassroots organization built and sustained by community fundraising initiatives, your support of TCA will funnel directly back into the taiko community through our programming and monetary support efforts.

UNITE UNDER A COMMON GOAL

Just by joining as a fundraiser, you'll be given access to a personalized racing bib, TCA's 5K Training Plans, the chance to win a 1-year Pro subscription to the AllTrails hiking app, and – most importantly – a community of taiko enthusiasts with a shared goal of both personal and collective growth.

REDUCE BARRIERS

  • Raising $75 can help to sponsor a collegiate taiko player to attend our upcoming Beyond The Drum conference where they will have the opportunity to learn from and network with taiko community leaders.
  • Raising $100 provides us with 1 month of access to all of our Zoom channels where we host webinars, community meet-up events, and meetings among our committees, staff, and community partners to give life to community programs.
  • Raising $500 allows us to provide an additional taiko artist with a grant through our financial relief fund.
  • Raising $1000 keeps our website and additional web properties live for a year.
  • Raising $2500 will sponsor a workshop instructor at the next North American Taiko Conference.
  • Raising $5000 empowers the creation of new content to grow our digital content library by hiring producers, artists, translators, video editors, designers, and additional support.
  • Raising any amount contributes to TCA growing its capacity to hire contractors and staff who support our many volunteers to “keep TCA running.”

Your support fuels this work.
