Uganda: RHI continues to try to keep widows, orphans, and vulnerable children alive during the corona virus crisis. Even though the lockdown is over the aftermath of months without activity by the people has greatly effected the poor. We are doing everything within our means to get food out to those in remote villages where food is scarce and trade has all but stopped. Travel and tourism is beginning on October 1st, 2020 but the impact of closing the country for 4 months has been devastating to the economy and the poor suffer the most. We are trying to feed about 300 family units in our churches. Crops are also damaged and not ready for harvest. Heavy rains destroyed many of the planted crops of our members. Please consider a special gift or even a monthly gift to the poor if you are able and blessed to do so.

Thank you,

About The Team

Saving Girls starts with providing a good education in the best schools not just getting them in school. A good education is the key to a hopeful future that opens door for girls to become future leaders. A strong society begins with opportunities for all peoples and usually the girls are the last ones considered in familes. We make girls a priority and follow their lives to make sure they are getting the help the need to succeed.

More Info

Joining God in Restoring Beauty in All Things. We are doing our best to install or repair 40 hand pump wells in Northern Ugandan villages. We have restored 14 wells reaching up to 65,000 people however, many villages are still without clean water and need new bore holes. The cost is $900 per well to repair and $4,000 for a new well. Because we are using local labor and materials, instead of aid organization contractors, we can keep the cost down. We are transporting the materials and workers in our Land Cruiser with roof racks.  The good news of God's love in Jesus Christ breaking into this world means fighting for justice for the poor.

Medical   The estimated population of  5,000 people need medical attention immediately, and a total of almost 25,000 potential recipients in our focus area.  Infections are numerous, and many carry parasites from dirty water. Pain from back-breaking farming is common and untreated. Asthma and other breathing problems are extremely common due to cooking smoke and dust everywhere. Children have permanent disabilities due to severe malnutrition, and the list goes on, but we are treating some of them.

We have a Ugandan RN and a trained a local team of Ugandans able to deliver first aid and other basic medical care as we are sending medication for them to distribute. We now have a vehicle for the workers to travel and bring medicine in large quantities directly to the women, children, and others in remote villages.

We can do this, but only if we work together.  We are managing all overhead ourselves other than Fundly's percentage, so 100% of the remainder of each donation will go directly to those in need about 92%.   Thank you in advance for helping save these lives.

In Kenya we have moved toward an education based model by placing students in well performing boarding schools. We have helped over 40 girls and young women with aid and support.  We now support many girls and a few boys with 100% of their care and education.

RHI is also focused on helping hire good teachers at underperforming schools. Your support will help lift the quality of education for the entire student body as better teachers affect both students and staff.

RHI is a registered 501 c3 Charity with the IRS.
