Pedal for PADS 2014

Pedal for PADS is an annual bike-a-thon devoted to supporting P.A.D.S. of McHenry County. This year, the event will be held at beautiful Larsen Park, Lake in the Hills, Illinois and continue along the McHenry County Prairie Trail. A map of the trails will be provided. The ride will span 50 miles for advanced riders (25 out and back) with mile markers at each mile. Younger and less experienced riders will have shorter options. All participants are encouraged to collect pledges to help raise more money for homeless services through McHenry County PADS. A grand prize will be awarded to the individual that raises the most money.

 

This years event will be September 21st, 2014.

 

There will be a raffle at the end of the event.  Just for participating you will receive one raffle chance.  For every $100 in pledges you raise, you will receive another raffle chance.  Plus, you can even buy extra chances for $5 each or 5 for $20.

 

Competitive Riders: 50 miles paved trail (A Longer route is available for those prepared to ride on crushed limestone)

 

Family Trails

 Mile Markers will mark each mile of the trail. Individuals and families have the option of shortening the ride as they deem fit. Safety It is highly recommended that all riders wear helmets. All riders 12 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult on the ride. Walkers and riders should stay to the right of their trails so others can pass on the left. Participants passing should announce they are approaching.

 

When you return from your ride, stay for a while to celebrate! There will be: • Music - Special Musical Guest No Left Turn! • Kid's Bike Parade • Raffles • Lunch

Registration Fees • $15 per person • $50 for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children).
