It's not just the Super Bowl; it's a Super Mitzvah!  Show your support for your team at the same time as you support worthy causes!

Rabbis Ken Carr (Temple Chayai Shalom, Easton, MA; http://chayaishalom.org/) and Peter Berg (The Temple, Atlanta, GA; http://www.the-temple.org/) organized this bet on Super Bowl LI to raise money for local charities.  Fans of both teams are urged to “compete” by donating money in support of their teams and these non-profit organizations, and we’ll see who gives more.  All money raised will be shared between Health Imperatives, based in Brockton, MA, and the Zaban Paradies Center in Atlanta: 2/3 to the one in the winning team's region, the rest to the other.  So whoever wins, they both win!  Go to https://fundly.com/patriots-falcons-super-tzedakah to contribute.

(Thanks to Rabbis Joe Black and Judith Schindler for the inspiration and some wording...)

About Health Imperatives (http://healthimperatives.org/) :

Health Imperatives is a non-profit community based agency that provides vital health and human services to more than 27,000 families and individuals each year from communities stretching from Quincy to Nantucket. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of low-income or vulnerable families and individuals in Southeastern Massachusetts. We operate our programs at multiple locations throughout the region, and all of our services employ a trauma-informed and client-centered best practice model. These include: resources for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; reproductive health and disease prevention services; outreach, prevention, and education initiatives for other service providers and the general public; family support programs; WIC nutrition program; support for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered, and questions (LGBTQ) adolescents; primary care for adjudicated youth.

About the Zaban Paradies Center (http://www.zabanparadiescenter.org/):

The Zaban Paradies Center was founded in 1984 as the first and only shelter for homeless couples in Atlanta. The mission of the Center was to keep couples together as they moved from being homeless to find permanent places to live. In 2008, the mission expanded to provide not just a safe place to eat and sleep but also numerous services to assist couples in the process of moving from homelessness to independent living. Volunteers from numerous educational, religious and service oriented organizations provide hot meals every evening during the residential dinner, bagged lunches for residents to take with them during the day, expertise to help residents with life skills development and clothing for residents who are in need.
