More Info

Olive and Bodhi are two dogs that deserve a chance. They almost got that chance, but a series of unfortunate events landed them in our laps.

My friend who knew about these two called me up, and we sprung into action to get our two special pups vetted and housed. This has been all-consuming and is becoming expensive the more we get into it. Vet bills for our special two and boarding for my own dog to keep everyone safe on top of driving time, gasoline, and the time it takes to organize a Bay-wide foster connection grid is catching up to not just our bank accounts but our temporary fosters' own money.

The dogs are currently in short-term foster homes where where they are getting love, attention, and food to get them ready for their forever home!

In order to keep helping both these dogs that fell into our worlds, we need your help. With Amber not being able to work because of a mTBI (mild traumatic brain injury) and myself living so far away and doing all the driving on top of my three jobs, we could really use your help to raise money for these pups.

If you are a dog lover and:

- cannot provide foster space

- want to help

- want to improve our animal welfare community

 Please donate to our cause!

ALL MONEY WILL GO DIRECTLY TO OLIVE AND BODHI'S CARE AND TRAINING

Learn about our special needs dogs:

Olive excels at learning heel, come, sit, and down, and is always eager to say hello to new friends. She needs someone who is experienced with dog behavior and can work with her. Olive is dog aggressive and needs to be the only dog in her home. She cannot be around children because she resource guards and is food aggressive. All these behaviors are being worked on but to continue her training we need your help! She is highly motivated by treats, toys, and pets. While we don't think she can be around people who are not dog-savvy, she is being muzzle-trained so that being out in the real world can be more enjoyable.

As you can see from her photos and videos located on our Facebook Page, Olive is very willing to be trained and enjoys being around people. She has so much love to give, and we are seeing her flourish in a home environment!

Bodhi Bear's obedience is a little more difficult for him. He is a very shy boy, having bounced around quite a few rescues (and originally being rescued from a dog meat market!) It takes Bodhi a long time to learn he can trust you but once that trust is built with him you have it forever. Bodhi can only go to a home with older kids. NO cats or SMALL dogs. He will do well with a calm older dog or as an only dog. Must be dog savvy as Bodhi is an escape artist. His short-term foster family has introduced him to one of their dogs, and they have become fast friends. We think Bodhi will enjoy having a dog friend around his size to continue his blooming into a "real" dog, potentially for the first time in his life!

Bodhi also has many photos and videos of how wonderful a pet he can be in a home on our Facebook Page!

We are fundraising toward getting Bodhi a special crate for when he is by himself so he won't hurt himself. It's not that he self-harms, it's more he is so eager to escape his crate no matter the size, he injures himself in the process. You can find the crate here on Amazon:

We get it; Olive and Bodhi are tough cases. However, we aren't giving up on them. A shelter is not an option for them. They have a lot of love to give, they just need the perfect home.

Any amount of money will help us, from a bag of dog food to a vet visit to that impenetrable $700 crate.

We have completed:

- vaccinations required by our counties

- dog flu vaccinations

- weekly trips across the Bay Area for training

- daily coordinating with foster families

- daily contacting rescues, trainers, and sanctuaries

Thank you!
