About The Team

I decided to join the MFC Board of Trustees because I firmly believed in their mission and the organizations' important work with assisting in the well-being of many fathers and children across the Midlands. The MFC's support services truly help break generational curses and change the trajectory of many lives. Furthermore, I am currently a father of two daughters, and I can personally attest to the positive impact that my presence has on their social and emotional development.

Having access to modern technology is a vital part of enhancing the way we communicate with each other. Updated technology also allows us to work more efficiently and complete a necessary task in a much shorter period.  Technology significantly improves our daily lives, and we must continue to work to enhance and improve technology for the future years.

Growing up in a single-parent home and being raised by mom molded and shaped the way I view and approach fatherhood as a current father. Not having a strong father figure in my household as a child contributed to the lack of the necessary knowledge and skills needed to grow up to be a  productive adult and, most importantly, a productive father.

Fortunately, I was very blessed to have many positive influences and mentors outside of my home that contributed to becoming the person I am today. In my opinion, fatherhood can be one of the most important factor that decide a child's future outcomes.

In the age of Zoom meetings, it is important to have computers with cameras.  Our team is looking to raise $10,000 for IT upgrades that will allow our intervention specialists to work one-on-one with fathers. During COVID, especially,  it is both safer for staff, as well as being better for the fathers we serve.
