I'm a great fan of Habitat for Humanity building projects and their Restores for home maintenance and improvement so I want to encourage women to join in the fun of building a home with a deserving family! WomenBuild hopes to bring women to the worksite to learn new skills
Habitat for Humanity North Central Georgia (NCG) Women Build 2020 empowers and inspires women to build homes for low income families in their communities!
Construction for the inaugural Habitat for Humanity-NCG Women Build home will begin in early 2020 in Forsyth or Cherokee County. During this 12-week build, over 300 women will come together to build a home for a deserving family in need of affordable, safe, and stable housing. The all-female volunteer crew will frame the walls, hang drywall, install siding, paint the interior and exterior, and landscape the yard among other tasks. Fundraising is underway now, and Women Build members have committed to raise $90,000 to help cover the cost of construction materials for this project.
