Raising money for TMA comes easily to me. TMA has done so much for me, I want to give back; to the organization, researchers and to other patients and their families who suffer with Myositis. 20 years ago, I was completely disabled; unable to get out of bed or to transfer to my wheelchair. I was scared to death and so was John. However, with the help of wonderful doctors, and therapists, plus a lot of medication, help from friends and family and faith in God (not necessarily in that order), I was able to eventually get up and walk and return to relative normal. Now it's my turn to help others deal with their Myositis muscle-weakness, fear and questions. There is no cure yet but we're working towards one and the way to do that is to help fund research scientists find out more about this devastating autoimmune disease. Please help by donating what you can and by sharing my story. Just remember to say we do have hope!

Fun Fit Flex is TMA’s newest signature awareness and fundraising campaign dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the 75,000 people living with myositis. Funds raised through Fun Fit Flex will help support patient programs, enhance professional education efforts, and propel critical research for cures.
What can you tell me about Tom Bennett Park?
Located at 400 Cypress Creek Blvd, Bradenton, FL, 34208, there are more than 200 acres of green space, lakes, trails, playgrounds and a handicapped accessible pavilion with restrooms and water fountains. Located just off the intersection of SR 64 and I-75 (Exit 220), it’s easy to find, if you turn north onto Kay Rd, between Wal-Mart and the Toyota Dealership. Then turn left onto Cypress Creek Blvd and the pavilion and parking are right there.

Each event will host a non-competitive fun walk, a festival of fitness demonstrations and activities, nutrition and wellness components, and family fun!
Funds raised through Fun Fit Flex will help support patient programs, enhance professional education efforts, and propel critical research for cures.
