Every $5 helps Helena, Cameron, Brad & Lynsey complete 5x 5k's in honor of OUR 2022 hero’s like our Uncle Mike! We’re doing a series of walks & 5K’s to honor them this year & completing another in December at the Checker’s Xmas 3K. Please consider donating in their honor to one of the great charities that mean something to us & maybe to you. Our uncle Mike has been bravely fighting stage 3 rectal cancer in Atlanta & kicking cancer every day. At 41 it was unexpected, but Mike & Shelby were so steadfast, positive & determined to get through this together. We’re so proud of Uncle Mike & pray his prognosis continues to stay positive. Help us place a brick along our walkway in Mike’s name, just mention that BRICK in the memo line & his journey will forever inspire the patients who walk through our garden each day to keep fighting! We did many walks to honor our 2022 heroes & the caregivers who take on the family’s burdens while their loved ones heal. For our friend Kevin Durawa who sadly passed from ALS last year & his wife Karen, the American Lung Walk in honor of dear friend Alex who lost her mother during COVID, LIGHT the NIGHT for the Leukemia & Lymphoma patients at KGH & the Alzheimer’s walk-in memory of Brad’s dad Paul & Lynsey’s grandfather Papa Cameron. The Virtual 5x5KGH is raising funds to provide a comfortable and supportive home away from home for patients and their families traveling to Buffalo for critical medical care. By participating and raising funds for Kevin Guest House, you are giving our guests a comfortable bed to sleep in, a warm meal to share, and compassion through some of their most difficult moments.
