2014: The year to change and make a difference

Have you ever thought of how blessed we are as Americans?  I'm talking about the average, minimum wage American.  We have water that is clean to drink, electricity that almost never gives out and amenities that make our lives comfortable.

Hello all, my name is Joseph Frasier and I am raising money to donate and help out my parents desire to build an orphanage building in the Pangasinan province of the Philippines. I have been extremely blessed to have lived both in the Philippines for a number of years and also here in the United States. I can only say that God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams by allowing me to be able to partake in opportunities that have changed my life. From meeting others from all over the world to working in Disney World to having the means and abilities to change other people’s lives, I can only say my life has been anything but ordinary. The more I worked in different jobs or met other people, I realized that I have always had a desire to help those who are in need. Whether it was giving a friend a free meal from a fast food place or being able to refer people to get a job, I have always loved to help and make a difference in a person’s life. The past year, I have found that I want to work and help non-profits in any capacity that I can. I mean, I’ve been blessed tremendously, surely I can help and make the difference in one person life?

I have been able to experience life overseas and see the people who are in need. My parents, Phil and Rachel Frasier, are currently located in Manaoag, Pangasinan, roughly 5 hours north of Manila and have been in the Philippines since I was young. Their ministry has been able to make a difference in so many people’s lives by providing food for the needy and the Gospel of Christ to the lost. These are people that live and survive in conditions that is very different than life for the average American. Many Filipinos make less than $1500 a YEAR! And that is if they are lucky to get a job that has steady pay. That is roughly the amount the average American will pay for their cellphone bill in one year! The money that I am trying to raise will go completely (100%) to help fund the building and orphanage needs. Currently, no building stands but the paperwork and documentation to have an orphanage is already complete. In fact, the first day the documents were finalized, my parents were able to help out one baby boy who had been abandoned at a local hospital. He is currently being cared for by one of the staff ladies and he is healthy and well! All the difference has been made in his life and there are thousands more like him who need help.

Thank you for taking the time to read what this campaign is all about. I know many of us have struggles in our own lives and can’t give much. And you know what, I get that! I am finishing up the life of a college student so I know money can be tough to come by. No amount is too little, every bit of it counts! God bless and thank you once again.
