THE MANY BENEFITS OF HEMP FABRIC

Environmental and health- conscious consumers are concerned about the products they buy, but buyer beware, because labels can be misleading. For example, organic cotton does not mean chemical-free and environmentally- friendly does not necessarily mean chemical-free. Consumers aren’t always told whether the garment has been chemically- altered at some stage of the process from, the harvesting to the final stages of fabric manufacturing.

Although environmental and health conscious consumers have traditionally favored cotton fibres over synthetic clothing, cotton is one of the most environmentally unfriendly crops grown. Although organic cotton standards have helped to decrease the impact that cotton crops have on the environment, there is still a great need for improvement.

Hemp leaf against blue sky In contrast to organic cotton, hemp grows extremely fast, producing more fiber yield per acre than any other source. Hemp can produce 250% more fiber than cotton and 600% more fiber than flax using the same amount of land. The acreage needed to obtain equal yields of fiber places hemp at an advantage over other fibers. hemp leaves the soil in excellent condition for any succeeding crop, especially when weeds may otherwise prove troublesome. Where the ground permits, hemp’s strong roots descend three feet deep or more, anchoring and protecting the soil from runoff and building and preserving topsoil and subsoil structures similar to those found in forests. Moreover, hemp does not exhaust the soil. hemp plants shed their leaves all through the growing season, adding rich organic matter to the topsoil and helping it retain moisture. Farmers have reported excellent hemp growth on land that has been cultivated steadily for nearly 100 years.

As an alternative fabric, hemp provides all the warmth and softness of a natural textile but with a superior durability seldom found in other materials. hemp is extremely versatile and can be used for countless products such as clothing, accessories, shoes, furniture, and home furnishings. Clothing made from hemp incorporates all the beneficial qualities of an earth-friendly product and will likely last longer than clothing made of cotton and other fiber. The strong fibers make hemp clothing withstand harsh conditions, be it weather, work, or daily life . Blended with other fibers, hemp incorporates the desirable qualities of both textiles. The soft elasticity of cotton or the smooth texture of silk combined with the natural strength of hemp creates a whole new genre of fashion design. There is some controversy about the availability of certified organic hemp fabrics. To our knowledge none exist. Tthere is some question about cotton fabrics remaining ÏorganicÓ after sizing and other finishing processes. Unless a third party has certified that the fabric is organic, the consumer is left with apromise from the manufacturer. So, in the meantime, look for the “Sustainable/Biodegradable Products” label and rest assured you are getting an environmentallysafe product.

Update #3

HEMP PRODUCTS – WHY YOU SHOULD EAT THEM

Hemp seeds are a superfood, did you know that they are the most nutritious seeds in the world? The first time I heard about the benefits of hemp seeds (milk, oil, etc) I thought it was just something the Dutch had come up with to keep their rights of growing their own hemp plants (yes we can have three of them). After some research though, I realised that the products of this plant are indeed great for your health. Don’t ‘worry’ about getting high, I’ll give you a short explanation and tell you about its health benefits.

Difference hemp and marijuana
Hemp and Marijuana both come from the same plant – Cannabis Sativa L. Marijuana is used for the medicinal, recreational or spiritual use involving the smoking of cannabis flowers.

Hemp is used for more than just cooking purposes; paper and fabric are made from it as well, because of its high amounts of fibre. Hemp used for these purposes contains about 0.3% – 1.5% THC whereas marijuana contains about 5% – 10% or more THC (which is what makes you high). Since I’m guessing that you’re not planning on trying to smoke your hemp seeds this is not that relevant.

Health benefits
Raw hemp has got many health benefits. To name a few of them: lower cholesterol and blood pressure, better immune system, better blood sugar control, faster recovery from injuries, more energy and weight loss. How come that hemp has got so many benefits?

Hemp is:

Vitamin E rich.
Easier to digest than eggs, cheese, milk, meat and other high protein foods.
As far as known there is no such thing as a hemp allergy.
A great source of essential fatty acids like Omega 3, 6 and GLA.
Essential fatty acids in hemp seeds
Why pick hemp seeds over any other type of seeds? Well the balance of omega 6 and omega 3 is perfect in hemp seeds, this perfect balance can not be found in any other type of seeds. The oil in hemp seeds has only 10% saturated fatty acids but does contain about 80% unsaturated fatty acids (the ‘good’ fat!). Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are not produced by our bodies and thus have to be obtained by what we eat, hemp seeds are a great way to get your daily doses in!

Amino acids
Hemp seeds provide you with all 20 amino acids, which also means the 9 essential amino acids (EAAs) which your body can not produce itself.

Conclusion
I could give you a whole list of all important nutrients in hemp seeds but it would be extremely long and to not to lose your attention I kept it short. If you’re really interested though just look it up online. For now I think that the message is clear, hemp seeds are great to include in your ‘diet’!

Putting hemp seeds in my yoghurt totally works for me. Maybe it’s time to use my Dutch rights and start growing my own hemp plants. Okay just kidding, I won’t. They are so easy to get at local shops that growing them yourself probably isn’t even worth the time.

Update #1

GLORY TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO IS COME IN THE FLESH, GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, ON THE DAY WE CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

2 Tim 3:16-ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. 2 Pe 1:20, 21-KNOWING THIS FIRST, THAT NO PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURE IS OF ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. FOR THE PROPHECY CAME NOT IN OLD TIME BY THE WILL OF MAN: BUT HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.

Many believe they are saved. They may base this on their feelings, on a lack of understanding God’s Word, or on the fact that they belong to a certain church that may tell them they are saved. They may make comments such as, "I am a good person, a preacher, I believe in God, sing in the choir, and give money to the church."

This all sounds good, but it is not based on Biblical knowledge. Understand, the issue is not whether you know Jesus, but rather—does Jesus know you?-ref Mt 25:12. The Word of God (the Bible) SHALL JUDGE (you) IN THE LAST DAY-Jn 12:48. Many hope when they die it will turnout alright, and they will go to a better place. Yet the Bible teaches that the majority will perish.

God loves you and cares about you. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE-Jn 3:16. By nature, man is sinful—FOR ALL HAVE SINNED-Ro 3:23. Your sins have separated you from God—BUT YOUR INIQUITIES HAVE MADE A SEPARATION BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR GOD-Isa 59:2.

You cannot earn your way to heaven by your behavior or good works—ALL OUR RIGHTEOUS DEEDS ARE LIKE A FILTHY GARMENT-Isa 64:6. NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US-Tit 3:5.

Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah, is God’s only provision for the sins of mankind. Through Him, you may receive forgiveness for your sins and understand God’s purpose for your life. Jesus is the LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD-Jn 1:29. He died for you—WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US-Ro 5:8. Jesus shed His blood to pay our sin debt in full—IN WHOM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, EVEN THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS-Col 1:14. For it is written, AND WITHOUT SHEDDING OF BLOOD IS NO REMISSION-Heb 9:22. FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL-Lev 17:11.

Jesus rose from the dead—HE WAS BURIED…HE WAS RAISED ON THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES….HE APPEARED TO CEPHAS, THEN TO THE TWELVE. AFTER THAT HE APPEARED TO MORE THAN FIVE HUNDRED BRETHREN AT ONE TIME-1 Cor 15:4-6. Jesus is the only way to God—Jesus said: I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, BUT THROUGH ME-Jn 14:6.

The Bible teaches that you must be BORN-AGAIN-Jn 3:3. This indicates change. A change must take place in your life, which affects what you think, your attitude and what you do. A person must repent (turn away from their sins) and receive Jesus Christ by faith, as their only way of salvation. It says in Jn 1:12, BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM (Jesus), TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME. After repenting and believing on Jesus, a person is commanded to be baptized by full immersion.

We all need to ask ourselves—"If I died today or Jesus returned, am I ready?"

If you believe Jesus the Messiah is God’s only begotten Son and died for your sins and rose from the dead, and if you will repent, then I invite you to kneel and ask Him to be YOUR Lord and Savior right now.

Say this prayer: DEAR JESUS, I AM A SINNER. I BELIEVE YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD AND DIED FOR MY SINS ON THE CROSS. FORGIVE ALL OF MY SINS. JESUS, I REPENT. I ASK YOU TO HAVE MERCY ON ME, A SINNER, AND COME INTO MY LIFE. GIVE ME YOUR SPIRIT AND YOUR POWER. HELP ME TO FOLLOW AND OBEY YOUR COMMANDMENTS, AND TO LIVE FOR YOU. JESUS, I GIVE YOU MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR HEARING MY PRAYER. THANK YOU FOR COMING INTO MY LIFE. I ASK IT IN THE NAME OF MY LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.

IF YOU JUST SAID THAT PRAYER AND MEANT IT---we recommend you begin reading your Bible every day faithfully—5 or more chapters a day. Begin with the Gospel of John and read it through three times. Next go to Matthew and read the New Testament through three times. Then begin reading the entire Bible in order, beginning with Genesis. As God opens up His Word to you, obey it. Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only, deceiving yourself-ref Ja 1:22. As you are faithful, God will open your understanding of His Word more and more. Find a good Bible-teaching church that teaches all of God’s Word, including sound doctrine, both the fear of God and the love of God, heaven and the lake of fire, Bible prophecy and the Revelation, not just stories about worldly things. They should also love and support Israel and the Jewish people.

Attend fellowship regularly and get baptized. Water baptism is a command-ref Acts 2:48, and is to be done only after a person repents and believes on Jesus Christ-ref Mk 16:16; Acts 2:38; by full immersion-ref Ro 6:4 and Col 2:12; in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost-ref Mt 28:19.
Tell others that Jesus is your only hope of salvation. If you’ve just said that prayer and committed your life to Jesus, please e-mail us and let us know. We would like to pray for you. If you wish. As you follow Jesus, expect to be confronted with obstacles and persecutions, even as Jesus was. God bless you.
