I had my first opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity 10yrs ago. It was amazing and rewarding. I admired the staff that worked behind the scenes on behalf of those in need. It is this type of character I strive to convey to my children. Our family admires the selfless commitment in those that make Habitat possible. For me to have any role in assisting is a blessing.
Habitat has teamed up with group of “Celebrity Sous Chefs” who will work with local culinary experts and show off their own talents. Our "Celebrity Sous Chefs" are both eager and enthusiastic movers and shakers of the community who share Habitat’s values, and have a competitive spirit. Sous Chefs will be taught a skill by a local professional chef and will participate in a competition to test who has mastered their new technique the best.
In addition to our friendly kitchen competition, all Sous Chefs are asked to raise money in support of the event, and Habitat’s mission to eliminate substandard housing. Each winner of this two-part challenge will be named on the night of the gala.
