About The Team
“My first day at Queens College felt lonely and uncomfortable. Then I found out about Hillel. So I walked over to the Student Union, went to the second floor and walked through the doors of room 206. I felt so much warmth from the amazing Hillel staff and it was clear I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. I saw how happy everyone was, and it made me feel happy too. I got involved with Hillel because Hillel gives me a place to call “home,” where I feel comfortable. Hillel gives me the strength to get through every day because it gives me a sense of identity, and makes me feel proud. QC Hillel does a great job of bringing people together from many different Jewish cultures. In fact, I am Vice President of Hillel’s Persian Club. Each month I get to help design events that teach people about my background, like “Persian Jeopardy,” and I always learn something new too.”

A little about this campaign:
Who are the Jewish students of Queens College? That’s a hard question to answer, because Queens College is home to the most diverse Jewish campus community in the entire country. It would take pages and pages and pages to tell you even a few of their amazing stories.
I can tell you this, they’re your neighbors. And, it’s likely they’ll be your neighbors even after graduation. QC’s Jewish students are not only the future of the New York Jewish community, they are the New York Jewish community.
